The Benefits of Psychometric Profiling

Good People recruitment believes that people are usually happier and more productive in jobs for which their abilities, interests and personalities are suited.

Whilst psychometric profiling may not guarantee candidtes will be happy or successful in a new job, when looked at in parallel with traditional recruitment tools (such as application forms and interviews), psychometric assessments are a good way of understanding what motivates an individual and discovering their strengths and aspirations. These can be key factors in matching an applicant to a position.

Profiling can also be used to help in the appraisals of existing staff and team audits. With more information about the underlying factors that drive individuals, organisations can make better decisions about workplace issues.

Profiling for Candidates

Recruitment is supported by objectively assessing individual differences between candidates. Assessments can measure working style, strengths and weaknesses and provide information as to future performance. This can save time, money and effort especially in situations where it is essential to get the right person at the outset. Our tests are grouped into two main categories of Aptitude and Personality to assess the skill set and drivers of an individual.

We have a bank of tools designed to help us recognise the careers that our candidates will enjoy. Job analyses can ensure a good match between employer and employee. We provide sessions where profiles are explained in relation to the candidates' preferred approach, experience and communication styles. Arising from this dialogue we make suggestions as to where action can be directed to best ensure a good job match.

Profiling for Employees or Team Audits

A successful team needs the right proportion of people with the right mix of skills, experience and perspective. Teams are only as strong as the individuals who make them up so it is essential that each person is working fully to their strengths and building on the abilities of other team members. Our interventions can help them to do this. Teams fail because of mismatched needs, unresolved conflict, personality clashes and lack of trust. All of this can be addressed by a team assessment. In addition, this awareness creates a strong platform from which more ambitious performance goals can be achieved.

A team audit allows you to identify your team's culture. They can also predict a team's reaction to change, allowing you to plan with confidence. Individuals in different roles may have a different focus on the overall objectives of the organisation. Tension can be created by the team's different individual objectives. We aim to bring these differences into the open and allow them to be dealt with in an appropriate manner.

Good People's team are trained and regulated by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and qualified to use and interpret attainment, ability and personality tests.

Our costs cover everything associated with reporting and administration including full reports, interpretations and full guidance to assist and aid individuals' learning.
